How To Sew: Elastic Waistband Shorts / Capris / Pants SUPER EASY

Whether you wear these as shorts or pajama bottoms, long pants or pajama pants, they are very versatile and super easy to make.  You can add pockets on the sides, pockets on the back, adjust the length as short or as long as you want them to get a different look each time you sew a pair.  Use scrap fabric for pajamas or nicer cotton or jersey fabric to wear out.

In this video tutorial, I'll show you how to create your own pattern using existing shorts. Who would have thought you could take an existing pair of shorts that fit perfectly, and duplicate them into more favorite shorts.  My step by step video has full instructions with commentary.  For women, men & children...for a beginner or advanced sewist, who loves to sew or wants to learn.

Supplies Needed:

• Existing pair of shorts or pants
• Sewing Machine (machine sewing needle included)

• Cotton Fabric or Jersey Material
• 1/4 inch to 1/2 inch elastic

• Thread

• Scissors

• Pins or Clips

• Ruler or Measuring Tape

• Iron

• Ironing Board or Towel on Hard Surface
